QBE Annual Travel Insurance --- from only $175.00 per adult
If you are a regular traveller, whether it's overseas or within Australia, this per adult policy (one of the cheapest available) allows you to travel separately from your partner or you can add your partner to the policy anytime during the period of insurance.

Cover for multiple trips throughout the year, with a maximum individual trip limit of 60 days duration. Extensions to your trip are available by the Australian or International travel plans.
For travellers aged under 70 years of age and includes accompanying children
under 25 years at no extra cost.

Cover for rental vehicle excess, computer, video camera, fraudulent use of credit or debit cards, emergency travel arrangements, accommodation and luggage expenses, overseas medical and dental expenses, medical and non-medical evacuation and repatriation.

Cover available for participation in a wide range of sporting and holiday activities.
FREE Snow Sports cover in Australia and New Zealand including snowboarding, skiing and biking

All other international destinations require the additional option benefit for Snow Sports cover.
Guidelines
You can select the accompanying spouse option, (Per Adult, including any accompanying children) cover for your partner, at any time during the period of insurance, provided you comply with the terms and conditions of this policy. Cover under this option will commence from the time you pay the premium until the existing period of insurance ends, and will be covered under the same excess.
OR
You can purchase a separate Annual Certificate of Insurance for your travelling partner (Per Adult including accompanying children) at any time, this policy will start on the nominated departure date and expire 12 months later and have its own nominated excess payable on any claims.

This policy is available to residents of Australia who are under 70 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is to be issued. Additional Benefits are available prior and post departure. Service Fees may apply if any option is after the Certificate of Insurance has been issued.
Cover unders Sections A1, A3, and A4 will commence on the date of issue.

Cover under all other applicable sections will expire 12 months from the nominated "Commencement Date" you have selected on your application form. There is no limit to the amount of trips you make take during your 12 month period of insurance.
The maximum duration of any one trip is 60 days. For any trips longer than this duration you can extend by applying online for a separate International or Australian Travel Plan to cover the period of the trip that exceeds the maximum duration of 60 days. PREMIUMS...An Excess of $200 per claim is payable unless the $NIL Excess Premium is chosen.
It is up to you to choose your excess level from the available options. This excess will apply to each claim you make under this policy except on the applicable section of the policy wording listed as "No excess applies to claims under this benefit".
You do not have to take cover for your existing medical condition. However there is no cover under this QBE policy for any claim arising as a result of your existing medical condition unless you have told QBE about it. Please refer to the section in the PDS headed Existing Medical Condition. Your medical appraisal form is available when quoting. Not available after departure or to Non Residents of Australia.
You may also choose to take out cover to protect you if your trip is cancelled, cut short or disrupted due to an existing medical condition of a non-travelling relative or business partner provided they are under 80 years of age. Not available after departure or to Non Residents of Australia.
Additional Benefits you can purchase - Benefits are available prior and post departure.
Snow Sports Cover
If you are travelling to New Zealand or Australia cover for snowsports activities will be provided FREE of charge. All other destinations require the Snow Sports Cover Option, which can be purchased for an additional amount. You must read Section J together with the General Exclusions, as these may affect your cover.
Additional Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess Cover
If you are renting a car, campervan, motorcycle or boat you may have to pay an insurance excess for an accident or theft. QBE have included cover for rental vehicle insurance excess hovever you may with to increase this cover for an additional amount. Maximum addfitional cover $5,000 - Additional Units of Cover $20 per $500 unit
Cruising Cover
If your travel plans include cruising for more than 4 days then you must purchase the cruising cover in addition to your Annual Multi Trip Travel Plan, otherwise there will be no cover under this policy for the period of the trip that you are cruising. Cruising means travel on a vessel undertaking scheduled deep water cruises of 4 or more consecutive days. This does not apply to river cruises or house boats.
Specified Item Cover
Items separately insured under Specified Item Cover are covered up to the amount specified, even if this amount exceeds the total luggage limit set out in the Schedule of Benefits. Please ensure you have proof of value (not more than 12 months old) of any item you Maximum Item limit $6,000 - Maximum Total all Items $15,000. Specified Item Cover is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed under Section F1 ''Luggage and Personal Effects' in the Policy Wording.

QBE Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to cancel it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced. QBE's The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions.
