Then consider this 'Per Person' budget travel plan, with one simple excess of $100 and no existing medical condition requirements, it can provide all the elements for travellers who are aged under 65 years, travelling to overseas destinations.
Even if you have only purchased an airline ticket, you still could be faced with unexpected travel delays, medical/dental costs or have your luggage and personal items go astray.

QBE Elements - Travel Plan Regions
REGION 1 ... Cover for the USA, Canada, South and Central America and Antarctica from $90.00 p.p under 65 years
(Travellers must select this Region 1 travel plan if they are spending more than 72 hours of their trip in these destinations)
REGION 2 ... Cover for Africa from $67.00 p.p under 65 years
Region 2 travel plan is not available if more than 72 hours of the trip is spent in Region 1 destinations
REGION 3 ... Cover for Europe and the Middle East from $65.00 p.p under 65 years
Region 3 travel plan is not available any of the trip is spent in Region 1 or 2 destinations
REGION 4 ... Cover for Asia, China, Japan and Indian Subcontinent from $54.00 p.p under 65 years
Region 4 travel plan is not available if any of the trip is spent in Region 1, 2, or 3 destinations
REGION 5 ... Cover for UK and Ireland from $50.00 p.p under 65 years
Region 5 travel plan is not available if any of the trip is spent in Region 1, 2, 3 or 4 destinations
REGION 6 ... Cover forSouth Pacific Islands and Norfolk Island from $37.00 p.p under 65 years.
Region 6 travel plan is not available if any of the trip is spent in Region 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 destinations
REGION 7 ... Cover for New Zealand only from $34.00 p.p under 65 years.
Region E travel plan is not available if any of the trip is spent in Region 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 destinations
Guidelines

The terms and conditions of the policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the state or territory

 Insurance is not available to travellers outside of Australia
*
This QBE travel plan is only available to residents of Australia who are under 65 years of age at the time the certificate of insurance is to be issued and it must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip
*
 An excess of $100 applies to each claim except under Sections B4, D1 and F2
*
 You must purchase the QBE travel plan according to your destination.
*
This policy is not suitable for anyone with an existing medical condition (EMC) unless it is an exemption listed on page 5 and 6. If you wish to apply for cover for an EMC the International and Annual Multi Trip travel plans offer cover.

If you have an existing medical condition (including pregnancy) please ask us about other travel insurance products which may be available
*
 The premium payable is Per Person. There is no cover for any accompanying child or children
*
 There is no provision to suspend this policy during the period of insurance.

Your policy can be extended as many times as you like up to the maximum duration of 12 months from departure date. This is only available before the current policy expires. When applying for an extension you must tell QBE if there is a claim made or pending, or you suffer from an existing medical condition, or you have seen a medical or dental practitioner, as an extension may not be available, or special terms may be imposed. Policy extensions post departure are subject to Service Fees.

 This travel plan can be purchased up to 6 months prior to the commencement of your trip.

 This QBE policy does not provide cover for any snow sports.

This policy does not provide any cover if you are cruising for 4 or more consecutive days. If you require cover for a cruise then you must apply for an International Travel Plan with cover for cruising.

QBE's in-house emergency assistance service OMEGA has been providing help to travellers since 1992. Whether it is in Vietnam or Canada, one call connects you to someone back home. It's comforting to know the person you are speaking to, is part of the QBE Travel team of trained medical and insurance specialists, who can make decisions regarding your situation and provide assistance when you need it the most.

Any advice in this document is of a general nature only and has not considered your objectives, financial situation or needs. The booklet contains the following sections which provide- Information about the QBE Travel Insurance product (PDS) and the detailed terms and conditions (Policy wording)
QBE Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to cancel it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced. QBE's The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions.
