Additional Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess: Cover can be increased to $5,000. Additional $20 per $500 unit of cover |
Excess: Consider the $NIL excess option to cover your personal effects and surfboards (less depreciation) otherwise you will have to pay $200 for each claim made.

Snow Sports Cover Option: Cover for participating in a snow sports activity can be purchased for an additional premium. (except New Zealand which is covered at no extra charge) You must read Section J together with the General exclusions, as these may affect your cover. |
Guidelines

You must purchase the QBE International Travel Plan applicable to your destination. If you are spending more than 72 hours in USA, South or Central America or Antarctica you must purchase Region 1 Travel Plan.

Please include your departure and return dates when calculating your duration. |

The Certificate of Insurance must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip |

Insurance is not available to travellers outside of Australia |

The terms and conditions of the QBE policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory. |
|
Premiums: The premium payable is per adult. A maximum of 2 adults can be named on a Certificate of Insurance. Accompanying financially dependant children, grandchildren, step children, nieces and nephews who are not in full-time employment and under 25 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is issued are covered at no additional cost. |

Availability: Available to residents of Australia regardless of your age. Conditions apply 70 years and over. Available for Non-residents of Australia if you are under 60 years of age when the Certificate of Insurance is issued .

Excesses: An excess of $200 applies to each claim unless the Nil Excess Premium option is purchased. It is up to you to choose your excess level from the available options. This excess will apply to each claim you make under this policy, except the applicable sections with 'no excess'. Travellers insured on the same Certificate of Insurance must select the same excess option. |

Extensions: The International Travel Plan can be extended as many times as your like up to a maximum total duration of 24 months from departure if you are under 70 years when the original Certificate of Insurance is issued.
If you are aged over 70 years when the original Certificate of Insurance is issued, then up to a maximum total duration applicable to your age band. Conditions may apply depending on your destination and age. |

Existing Medical Conditions: You should take cover for your existing medical condition.There is no cover under this QBE policy for any claim arising as a result of your existing medical condition unless you have told QBE about it. If you require cover or are over 70 years of age, application for cover is available online when quoting. Not available after departure or to non residents of Australia. |

Existing Medical Conditions of a Non Travelling Relative or Business Partner - You may also choose to take out cover to protect you if your trip is cancelled, cut short or disrupted due to an existing medical condition of a non-travelling relative or business partner provided they are under 80 years of age. Not available after departure or to non residents of Australia |
